More and more recognition enquiries are coming from Turkish skilled workers. A joint online seminar for advisors took place to answer some important questions.
On 26 January, “Anerkennung in Deutschland” organised a two-hour online seminar with experts from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) and the BQ Portal. The seminar focused on questions about the recognition of Turkish professional and vocational qualifications and was aimed in particular at advisors, multipliers, competent bodies, companies and other institutions which help to support Turkish skilled workers with labour market integration in Germany.
The event highlighted the importance of the recognition of foreign professional qualifications and particularly looked at the challenges which Turkish skilled workers may face. The speakers presented procedures and requirements which are necessary for successful recognition. Knowledge on the training and higher education system in Turkey was shared. Other issues addressed included which documents are required, processes, and arrangements for the effective recognition of a Turkish professional or vocational qualification. The seminar was especially relevant considering the new Skilled Immigration Act, which makes immigration easier for Turkish skilled workers.
Overall, the online seminar was a complete success. More than 75 participants from Germany and abroad joined in and actively networked.
“This seminar is a valuable source of information for all advisors dealing with the recognition of Turkish professional and vocational qualifications,” praised one participant.
