Electronics technician
In Germany you can complete training as an electronics technician in the trades and crafts sector or in the industrial and commercial sector. This means: There are professions regulated by the Chamber of Crafts and Trades (HWK) and professions regulated by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). It is important to know about the different possibilities. The competent authority responsible for the recognition may differ depending on the sector.

There are two areas of specialism for electronics technicians in the trade and crafts sector: automation technology, energy and building technology. The vocational qualification is only called electronics technician.
Electronics technician in industry and commerce
In the industrial and commercial sector, individual training regulations exist for the various areas of specialism for electronics technicians. Another electrical profession which overlaps with information technology in industry and commerce is the profession of "IT systems electronics technician".
